  • Comment: Blood flow simulation in a real carotid bifurcation obtained from CT scans. The simulation has been carried out over three heart beats (2.4 s. Time step=0.02s.) with a physioloigic input waveform (taken from experiemtal data). The oxygen dynamics has been simulated too, by solving an advection diffusion problem, stabilized with streamline diffusion techniques. Robin conditions on the wall have been prescribed, modeling the oxygen absorption by the vascular wall.
  • Geometrical discretisation: built with Mesh++ grid generator, 28842 nodes and 160756 elements.
  • Time stepping: 0.02s (total time 2.4s)
